Student Lounge and Study Spaces

Ziegler Building, Second Floor

With couches, comfy chairs, study tables, two smart white boards, and multiple computer terminals and free printing terminals, the student lounge is a great place to study.

As part of the student lounge, the Ketchikan student government stocks a full counter of water, tea, coffee, creamer and sweeteners, snacks, a microwave, a small refrigerator, and free sexual health prophylactics and some feminine hygiene products.

The campus library boasts free hot brewed coffee, multiple study tables, couches with large window views, one-person desks, and multiple computer terminals and free student printing.

The second floor mezzanine host a large conference table surrounded by windows for studying at, as well as an outdoor patio with table.

Paul Building, Second Floor

The Paul Building houses most of the campus' academic classrooms, the Computer and Testing Labs, and Laboratory for science classes. The second floor hosts a large outdoor patio with tables for studying, taking a break, or enjoying the sun (when it's out!).

Computer Lab and Testing Center

Students have access to the Computer Lab in the Paul Building, plus computers in the Ziegler Building Student Center and Library, and computers at the Maritime Training Center. We also provide technology tutoring. And for both students and the wider community, we also provide proctoring and testing services for professional license, certificate, or continuing education testing.

Rainbird Hiking Trail

Walk out the door and you're on the trail. The Rainbird is a popular 1.3 mile short through-hike that takes hikers through the wooded mountainside above, and running parallel to, the Third Avenue Bypass. The trail is moderately difficult, and at times depending on the snow and water run-off, can become challenging and require off-trail navigation due to washouts.
